Position Title:    Editorial Special Projects Manager

Reports to:        DEI Editor

Key Responsibilities

  •  Project management for special awards programs from nomination management to presentation, editorial award submissions
  •  Main point of contact for special projects/awards and recognition 
  •  Assist with all special projects and awards and continually improve awards communication and collaboration
  • Ensure IN award winners receive necessary information prior to publication, including press releases and social media announcements
  • Maintain InvestmentNews editorial calendar on website and sync with across departments,
  •  Organize and schedule in-person and virtual meetings as well as conference calls for internal projects, including external participants
  •  Coordinate editorial webcasts and set up prep call meetings
  • Maintain and update contact information from past and present InvestmentNews award winners in shared folders
  •  Set up quarterly InvestmentNews advisory board meetings

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism or related fields.
  • 3+ years of experience as a project manager; experience with newsroom/media outlets is not required but preferred; experience in the financial adviser market strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organisation skills and relentless at meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task, adept at managing layered deadlines for simultaneous short and long-term projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • High standards, principles and ethics; able to enforce standards of excellence and accuracy.
  • High emotional intelligence; extremely collaborative.
